Artwork & Print Guide Here at Surf and Turf, we understand how important it is to create a design that encapsulates the values and personality of your business. We’ve crafted this guide to help you with submitting your electronic artwork files, ensuring optimal print quality for your artwork and branding. What File Format Do I Need? For our custom printed gazebos and promotional branded accessories we will require your artwork in a high-resolution vector file format, for example an .AI (Adobe Illustrator), .EPS or .PDF which will allow us to adjust your artwork to any size on our products without any pixilation or lose in quality. .AI File An .ai file is a digital document commonly used by graphic designers that stores illustrations and designs created with Adobe Illustrator, a software commonly used for drawing and creating visual content. .PDF File A .pdf file is a universally accessible file type of electronic document that preserves the original formatting and layout, making it a reliable way to share text and images across different devices while ensuring they look the same as intended. .EPS File An .EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) file is a graphics file format commonly used for high-quality printing. It contains both text and graphics, utilizing vector-based elements that ensure sharp and crisp output. What If I Don't Have Access To These File Formats? If you don’t have access to your artwork in the above formats, please forward them in the format you do have, and our in-house design & print team will be able to digitally redraw your logo. This can sometimes include a small additional fee depending on the complexity of the artwork or logo. You will then have ownership of the redrawn high-resolution vector file for all future printing and design work. What Is A Vector File? Vector-based artwork are made from shapes and use mathematical equations, allowing designers & artworkers to easily make changes or scale the artwork without losing qualityThey are ideal for large format printing of logos and illustrations. On the other hand you have rasterized images such as .JPEG files or .PNG files. These are composed of pixels and are resolution-dependent which risk pixelation when the artwork is enlarged. When Will I Receive My Design Proof? We aim to produce all design proofs in 24 hours, so you can see a digital version of how your branded products will look once they are printed. Your designs can be amended as much as you want until we receive your approval. Can I Create My Own Design Proof? If you are comfortable using Adobe Illustrator or have your own in-house Graphic Designer and would like to create your own design layout, we have a range of templates for all our bespoke products and will be happy to email these to you. on request. Do I Need To Provide Colours? All colours will be taken directly from your artwork if there are any specific colours that you would like us to use such as your branding colours, please ensure to provide a Pantone reference when specifying a particular colour.Pantone is a standardized colour matching system allowing us to accurately replicate your desired shade. It helps bridge the gap between artwork on a screen and artwork once printed by providing a universal language for colours. This is crucial as printers predominantly use the CMYK colour model whereas screens commonly use the RGB colour model. What Print Methods Are Available On My Surf & Turf Gazebo?
