How To Use Our Online Print Customiser At Surf & Turf, the UK’s experts in premium pop-up gazebos, we’ve made it easier than ever to get a fully branded, custom printed gazebo that’s built around your business. Whether you’re a market trader, events company, sports club, or corporate brand, our online Gazebo Customiser lets you design and order a bespoke printed gazebo in just a few simple steps – all from the comfort of your computer or smart phone. This guide walks you through every step of the process, so you know exactly what to expect. How to Access the Gazebo Customiser Once you’re on your chosen gazebo product page – such as the 3m x 3m Robusta – you’ll see a “Customise Your Gazebo” button within the shelter package options. Click this and the customiser will slide out on the right-hand side of the page, ready for you to begin building your bespoke printed gazebo. Step 1: Choose Your Print Method The first decision you’ll make is how you’d like your gazebo to be printed. Surf & Turf offers two professional printing methods, each suited to different needs and budgets. Vinyl Heat Transfer Vinyl heat transfer is an excellent choice if you’re working with a simpler design – think logos, text, or bold block graphics. It’s a cost-effective option with a fast turnaround, handled entirely by our in-house design and print studio. If you’re on a tighter budget or need your gazebo quickly, this is often the recommended route. Dye-Sublimation Dye-sublimation is the premium option, giving you full creative freedom with edge-to-edge, full-colour printing across the entire gazebo. Using the complete CMYK colour spectrum with no sizing limitations, it’s perfect for bold, vibrant artwork and photographic-quality designs. The print is applied directly onto the fabric before the gazebo is stitched together, resulting in a truly seamless, professional finish. Step 2: Select Your Print Areas Once you’ve chosen your print method, it’s time to decide which parts of your gazebo you’d like printed. This is done using the interactive flat-lay view within the customiser. Including Side Walls Start by selecting whether you’d like side walls included with your gazebo. Ticking “with side walls” will activate the side wall sections on the flat-lay view. Selecting “without side walls” will grey them out so they can’t be selected. Choosing Which Sections to Print Click directly on the sections of the flat-lay gazebo that you’d like to have printed. There are three printable sections available: Canopy – highlighted in red Valance – highlighted in green Side walls – highlighted in blue Your selected sections will appear listed below the flat-lay, each showing its individual price. You can remove a selection by clicking the cross next to it in the list, or by clicking the same section again on the flat-lay. Important Note for Dye-Sublimation Orders If you’ve selected dye-sublimation as your print method, please be aware of the following: The canopy and valance are automatically included together as a complete set at a fixed price. This is because dye-sublimation prints directly onto the fabric before it is stitched together, meaning all panels must be printed as one. If you’ve opted to include side walls, you’ll need to click each side wall individually to select it for printing. Any side walls not selected will be supplied in your chosen stock colour, as dye-sublimation side walls are made from scratch and the non-printed ones will be standard stock walls. Step 3: Select Your Gazebo Colour Next, choose your preferred gazebo colour from the available stock options. This step applies to vinyl heat transfer orders, where your design is printed onto a pre-made, pre-coloured gazebo. If you’ve chosen dye-sublimation, this step will be skipped automatically – this is because the gazebo is printed entirely from scratch using your own bespoke artwork and colours, so a stock base colour isn’t needed. Step 4: Upload Your Artwork This is where the magic happens. Upload the artwork you’d like printed on your gazebo by either dragging and dropping your files into the uploader, or clicking to browse your files. Accepted File Types and Size The uploader accepts the following file formats: .AI, .EPS, .PDF (preferred vector formats) .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG (rasterised formats – high resolution recommended) Maximum upload size: 50MB. Artwork Quality Tips For the best possible print result, we strongly recommend uploading vector files (such as .AI or .EPS). If you only have rasterised files such as JPGs or PNGs, please ensure they are high resolution to avoid any pixelation when enlarged for print. Don’t have a vector version of your logo? Our in-house design and print team can redraw it into a vector file for you – which is then yours to keep for future print or large-format purposes. Please note that complex artwork may incur a small fee due to the time involved in the redrawing process. Adding Design Notes There is also a text box in this step where you can leave any design notes for our team – such as specific logo placements, colour adjustments, or additional text you’d like included (for example, your website URL). The more detail you provide here, the faster and smoother the proofing process will be. Checking Your Price Breakdown Before adding to your basket, you can review a full price breakdown at any time by clicking the question mark (tooltip) icon next to the price. This will show you an itemised summary including the base product price, a subtotal for all selected print options, and the overall total. If you’ve chosen dye-sublimation, you may also notice a 20% print discount automatically applied to your selections through our customiser. Adding to Basket and Checking Out Once you’re happy with your selections and have uploaded your artwork, simply click “Add to Basket.” From there, you can continue shopping and add any other products to your order, or head straight to checkout. You’ll notice the following message in both your basket and at checkout: “Please note: Our sales team will contact you to discuss your artwork requirements. You will receive a digital design proof for approval before production begins.” This is an important reassurance – nothing will ever go to print until you have reviewed and signed off on a digital proof mock-up, which our design team typically turns around within 1–2 working days. You can also view and re-download your uploaded artwork files on the checkout page if you’d like to double-check you’ve submitted the correct files. Ready to Design Your Custom Gazebo?
